Unpopular opinion (because die-hard lore pundits): the Rings of Power is actually brilliant. With the limited licensed material, the producers have done a spectacular job in filling in the blanks. Is it by the proverbial book? No. But as a fan, I felt incredibly satiated with the series following the loooong hiatus from hobbit-elven-wizard adventures of the Lord Of The Rings. I will die on this hill - it’s a good adaptation of some of Tolkien’s writing.

I mean, even if we take that away, the show on it's own is really bad. Greatest budget for a tv show of all time and you fucking don't see it (unless in like two, three scenes maybe) The acting, the decor, the effects, the directing, all of it is poor The writing makes no sense and wtf battle scenes are cheap af I'm no hater, I tried so hard to appreciate it but I can't
