Any cat experts out there? My Lucy is about 7-8 years old now. IDK if that's relevant or not. She's been box trained her entire life. But recently she stopped using the litter box & started going in my tub. I'm bleaching it at least twice a day now. Her diet hasn't changed. The location of the box hasn't moved. At first, when this started, I thought i just needed to scoop or change her box more often. I've tried switching litter brands. Nothing seems to work... and that shit STINKS! Help!

The best we could figure was that he just liked the way the porcelain felt, because when he went in the box he often "buried" it by scrabbling at the side of the toilet. We started leaving the tub full of water and he went back to reliably using the box.
3 小時內	Kate 248kate	Whenever my boy had a bladder infection (and he had many), he would pee in the bathroom sink when I was in the bathroom, to be sure I knew. I’d tell him what a good boy he was and call the vet for more meds. Damn smart cat.

The cat associated the pain with the litter box and refused to use it. We began giving her vet approved arthritis supplements and she started feeling better and using her box again.
