So when did Halloween, a day that may have been the start of winter and a time when spirits or our ancestors were close to the earth, become associated with blood and gore? Any history buffs know how this thing evolved?

7 小時內	Alwena some_french_witch	People were dressing up as scary creatures to blend in with the faes and ward of evil, and I've also read that they was a tradition of knocking on doors to tell scary stories and folk stories so this could reinforce the blood and gore part of it.
