The Ouseburn is a great area. A few different places to eat: Ernest and the Cookhouse are my favourites, then up the steps to the Cumberland Arms. It’s walkable from the city centre and plenty of buses. Can easily be combined with the Quayside including the Baltic centre for contemporary art. More traditional art in the Biscuit Factory.
