It's trained the same way but faster than a human by incorporating previously enjoyed artwork and taking inspiration from it. The problem is it frequently gets trained on copyrighted materials and isn't licensed against them making ownership and legal liability a very muddy topic compared to a human artist.

It’s fun to use and mess around with. But the ones who are very thorough with their artwork will always be better
