I upload raws religiously as the first item when arriving home, even if it’s 3am. Though unlikely, any number of things could go wrong between then and the next morning, and it’s my professional duty to do everything I can to safeguard those files. I do shoot mirrored cards, but this doesn’t offer protection against burglary, fire, natural disaster, or human error during that window. An offsite backup offers substantial protection against all of these.
