I’m not designer. But as an user, how often do you turn off your Mac? Once or twice a year? Or maybe even longer? Putting a button that not so often used at the bottom, is it really that “lack of care and principles”? I think most people are overreacting to this, just like when iPhone X was launched, no home button design was like apocalypse to them and now?

You’re right. Not everything needs to be through an infotainment screen. As someone who is tactile I’ll just say Toyota did it right with knobs for climate controls.
