studying is dissecting, comprehending, practical application ect. -read small sections at a time (always at least a chapter or 2 to keep it in context) -compare 2 translations for better comprehension -use a commentary for historical/cultural background context(we don’t want to impose our western culture on the text) -pray as you read for the Holy Spirit to prompt you in areas of focused concentration and conviction/understanding -use a Bible dictionary -ask how is Gods nature/will revealed
