Yall be talking about "the homeless" like we're not on the internet with you. 😆 Also, I prefer the term unhoused. It's circumstantial, not my identity. 💜🙏🏾

I’ve been homeless several times. The term never bothered me. This new wave of “insulting words” just shows the weak nature of the human mind nowadays.

Unhoused is bad grammar. You are homeless. If that's embarassing then work harder to get out of being homeless.

I appreciate you sharing your preference. I’ve heard others say they prefer homeless to houseless and vice versa, and now I’m never sure what to say. The perspective that being unhoused is a circumstance and not an identity resonates with me.

Worked with homeless people for years. People vilify them because their situation has to be bc of some character flaw (drug addiction was their mani go-to). Many of the people I worked with had mental health issues and guess what… THEY ALL WANTED TO WORK! They struggled finding employment because of the lack of suitable jobs, limited access to technology, trouble reading, their appearance, medication issues, and substance use issues (drugs & alcohol quiet the voices and soothe the anxiety).
