It’s kind of a whole religion if it’s own in a sense. Asanas are just a fraction of what yoga focuses on, yoga means union. Bot be any means necessary, but by many means for sure. Personally I have benefited from the physical aspect of yoga through stretching. It definitely makes me feel as though it unites my mind, body and spirit.
