When do people think an 'appropriate' time is to DNF a book? I've seen varying timelines, but I'm about 34% in on a book and it's not grabbing me. I feel like I very rarely DNF books with the 'finish what you start' mentality but leisure/ reading time is such a gift I don't want to squander!!

8 小時內	Amanda initiala2007	If you’re 34% in, I think at this point you can let it go. Or the next thing that makes you react even a little negatively is the sign to stop! I usually give it to about 20% before I tap out, depends on the length

Whatever the remaining number is, is the number of pages you should give the book. For example: 100-32 (my age)= 68 pages. The idea being the older you are, the less time you have to waste on a book.

I know there are books I’ll go back to when I have more time and am in need of that particular story. Other times I’m okay with a story just not being for me.
