I was diagnosed with HELLP with my first. I was on so much magnesium that I had no idea how serious it was until the doctor told me how much danger I was in. My husband said I almost died and I thought he was exaggerating. I left the hospital five days later with STILL elevated BP with the promise to keep using my cuff at home.
