They have other patients. Another patient could had an emergency etc.

PRN meds are on a scheduled window as well. There’s a certain amount of time you have to wait in between doses. For your health, She possibly had to wait that extra hour before she administered the med.

Your nurse has 4-6 other patients. Someone may have fallen in the floor, someone may have needed urgent toileting so they don't poop the bed, someone may have needed to be taken to a test that was happening shortly. Someone may have been unable to breathe. Your med may have been out of stock and she/he needed to call the pharmacy. It may have been a little early for your med. All of these things can be happening at the same time. No nurse intentionally makes a patient wait for meds

Ask to speak to the charge nurse. If no charge, than call the hospital and ask to be transferred to house supervisor. Sometimes the late meds are out of nurse control, sometimes not. You can always request new nurse as well....

You’re not their only patient….for all you know they were doing life saving measures on their other patient or walking them out to discharge. Try to be a bit more empathetic to the nursing staff who is doing their best as opposed to pretending you’re their only concern

Call the cops

The do better was wild. Nursing is typically critically understaffed. If it took that long for them to get to you I can almost guess there was a situation far worse than yours.
