my bf was a severe alcoholic for years after some awful trauma and was using substances to cope with his PTSD. well he’s been sober for over 2 years now and last night a lady at the market we were vending at was handing out “booze cookies”. He went to grab one until she mentioned that, politely declined, then went about his business. It doesn’t seem like a big deal but fuck I am so proud of him and his progress. 😭
