After a while, the suddenly lights clicked on, and she enjoyed the heck out of it. Conformation classes had to be repetitive before the dog understood that nothing bad was going to happen, and she would be loaded with praise and liver. It took almost a year to turn her around; but I knew she could be saved and lead a normal life. She ended up being the best dog we ever owned. The perfect companion and bed dog

She’s 14 months with a tragic backstory but was saved by a rescue organization 3.5 months ago & placed in a terrific foster. She’s been with me 2 weeks & while she’s decompressing & bonding beautifully, she remains terrified of the outside - people, cars, shadows, etc. A behaviourist is coming to visit us tomorrow with the end goal of creating a plan to give us both the skills we need to help Rose live the happy life she deserves.
