I was there through the hurricane. It was offered for sale, no one was forced to buy anything.

Not sure you understand the definition of “forcing”. Disney didn’t “force” anyone to buy this food. Just like they didn’t “force” anyone to stay there.

I doubt Disney forced anything. And of my understanding is correct, it was a full jar of both peanut butter and a full jar of jelly as well as a full loaf of bread. You can’t get a single sandwich at Disney for less than $10. And that’s actually cheaper than the local grocery stores.

They weren’t stranded, a majority of the people knew the storm and its path before going on their trip. This was a choice people had to take to their room, they didn’t have to buy it. All that would cost at least $10 at the store. Everyone I see “blasting” them are usually people who don’t do the grocery shopping in their house and/or don’t have a family to grocery shop for. I’d rather have this than slosh through the resort (this was at a very large moderate, no going to get food easily)

Nah. They were celebrated for offering the kits at reasonable prices.

Disney charges almost $5 for one uncrustable, so a $10 bag that would make multiple sandwiches was a fantastic deal for a crappy situation. They were optional, not forced to buy them

Is the word “force” or “forcing” actually being used? Cause…that’s a bit extreme if so.
