It’s been a thing for a long time — no right on red whatsoever. Out of province folks and Americans do it all the time — a friend of mine just got hit. A reminder that people crossing and riding are definitely not expecting anyway would do it.

Same here in a small US city, a number of intersections are no right on red, but we have large number of roundabouts.
