I think it is sad that we put pressure on pastors to come up with “powerful” messages. I want the preacher to teach me more about God and His Word. Show me what the Lord is teaching you. I don’t need a motivational speaker. We have put pastors is a place where we want them to be a world class speaker, therapist, marriage and family counselor, and more. It’s not Biblical, and it turns us into consumers.
