Not hard-and-fast rules but these can help: -Artist has a posting history on X/IG (where images can't be replaced retroactively) of consistent work in 2022 and prior -Artist is googleable, has some kind of track record/publication history as a pro illustrator -You can use tools like Hivemoderation to check images even if not 100% foolproof P.S. "traditional art" is not safe either, genAI can perfectly emulate the look of watercolor, pencil etc. as well
