I’m digitizing family photos and I’m noticing something somewhat interesting. Maternity clothes were way different. I see photos of my grandma when I know time wise she’d be heavily pregnant and you can barely tell because her clothes hide it. Even into the 90s seeing pics of my mom when she was pregnant with me and my sister, large clothes meant to hide the bump. So when did maternity clothes change to stop making hiding the bump the goal? When did we stop putting pregnant women in flour sacks?
