The client called THE DAY before pleading to get an appointment as she has a wedding to attend. She was a FULL HIGHLIGHT AND HAIRCUT AND BLOW DRY with an 10:45 appointment and needed “to be out by 1….” The receptionist said she cant guarantee anything and the client still came. First of all, She came in wet hair hoping to speed up the process. Then at 10:56 sat in the chair and was combing through her hair with the brush on the stylists station. I was so distracted with her energy!

Unless it’s your wedding… do not let the stress of someone else’s day determine the placement of responsibility of time on the stylist. It was a learning experience for me as well and I am happy to do the right thing in this situation. But man. Clients have no chill these days. Oh and I got snubbed from 2 gratuities too last week by clients saying “I’ll Venmo you” 🤐
