Hey Trekkers/Trekkies: I'm a big fan of TNG (TV+films), SNW, TOS films. I wanted to like Picard but tried S1 and it was too bleak/weirdly contemporary for me to get past E2. Would it be worth it to skip the rest of S1 and go straight to S2 (where I hear it becomes bit more supplementary to TNG), and if so, would I be lost? Or should I dig into something like Discovery (which I also hear took a big shift in S2?) to get my Trek fix?
