Doctors really have a hard time listening to their patients. For a while I been having intense cramps right before I need to ... relieve myself lol. Its a very distinct pain and sometimes crippling in my lower abdomen. If I eat spicy food, its worse because if its hot going in, it will definitely be hot coming out. What I describe was peristalsis of my colon however when I told my doctor she prescribed me medication for heartburn despite me being very specific of where my discomfort was ... 1/2

6 小時內	Grace Bonner grace_bonner57	I had similar symptoms. First, I went gluten free; my symptoms went away. But, then they came back even worse. Saw a GI. He first tried a new medicine for IBD. Nothing. Saw him for a follow up. He said we would try something else - a medicine indicated for reducing cholesterol by absorbing bile. In two days my symptoms disappeared. I still have a few episodes a year, and I have to make slight adjustments to my dose, but it has been a miracle for me. It was bile malabsorption. Best wishes.

一天內	Jed Jose jjeodse	Nope. Just because you learned some words on the internet doesn't really give your analysis of your doctor's decision-making accurate. Peristalsis is the normal movement of your intestines and is not considered a symptom. Eating hot foods and having pain is a classic symptom of gerd and hyperacidity. Capsaicin from peppers may not be fully absorbed by your gut thats why it's also "hot coming out". The side effects listed are rare (<1%) for pantoprazole and the benefits far outweigh the harm.
