deserving of the same courtesy. if you are talking to someone and its not important and the child has a genuine question. you cant put the convo on pause for a second to answer?? children learn how to respect others based on how the parents treat people. respect is a two way street regardless of age!

Honestly I would say the parent is being disrespectful. A child doesn't have the capacity to fully grasp that interrupting someone for their own non emergency needs is rude and it's something that needs to be taught over time. A full adult knows this so there is no reason to attempt to interrupt a child while they are talking. The parent knows it's rude and knows it's proper to wait and weirdly chooses to interrupt anyway

Everybody should wait for his or her turn. It’s a common courtesy.

Yes they get the same courtesy dependent on the scenario am i just asking what they want for din din or am I asking them if they had cleaned their room or something actually important

if they continue having a full conversation: disrespectful. if they just go back on the phone to say "be right back my mom wants to talk to me" is what i would expect them to say! my children also deserve respect from me, but they need to remember that im their mother.
