I love how everyone looks at me for my reaction to MY children when they tell me, NO. My children have never disrespected me. I DO respect my children’s boundaries. I listen to their concerns and acknowledge their feelings. Out of habit, I told my daughter to give her brother a hug and tell him bye. She refused. I repeated myself thinking she didn’t hear me.
