United Airlines flight 881 nonstop service on December 4 from Chicago to Tokyo is $859 one-way But if you fly from Columbus Ohio to Tokyo on that same day with a layover in Chicago and still fly on the same flight 881, instead of being MORE expensive, the price is LESS expensive: it’s just $475 one way from Columbia to Tokyo! Can someone explain to me how this craziness fits into the normal rules of capitalism?
