i once stayed with a host family in france and the mom was rlly quirky to say the least and burned everything she tried to cook. she made this bread thing but it was all black and like a solid brick except for the very end of it she was able to save. and every time we drove somewhere she would be giving me history lessons (in french of course). on the very first day I met her she asked me if I believed in god
