You be in your 70's and walk in the desert for 5 miles with no water, no place to rest for a few minutes, and fighting all the great little creatures the desert gives us, like rattle snakes and scorpions. Oh, and do so after dark when you can't see them until you step or sit near one. Just to make it fun, do it after dark when you can't tell which way you are going. REALLY, get a fucking heart.

It was the Cali desert which was 108 at the time so yeah...not many are making that walk.

Well, when you used to riding a rascal it's very frightening having to walk.

That's a long haul to take at a moments notice. Proper footwear and water is a must.
