no simple answer. whenever i travel i visit the local art museums. Both Tates in London, the Louvre , the Met in NY and MOMA, the Belvedere in Austria for amazing Klimts. there are a half dozen other great museums in Vienna, including their museum of art history (which I can’t spell). One of the best in the world. Was just in Hiroshima and stumbled across their art museum. beautiful small collection of European masters. We were shocked. Risksmuseum in Amsterdam to see Rembrandts Night Watch.
