Congrats on passing the CSE! 1. You don't owe them any form of libre or even an explanation about your decision 2. Their behavior reflected more about their character, not yours. You're not being selfish, just practical with your finances 3. You can only do so much as to explain your decision to them, but you can't understand it for them. If they can't comprehend your "no," then they're the problem.
