Yesterday,I danced. First time in over 2 years. First time since I became disabled. It wasn't my best dance. I was unsteady and stiff and without grace, but I stood up in the shoes that make me able to stand almost properly and I did a silly little dance to a song I love and then I cried for about an hour because another tiny sliver of my life was given back to me.

3 天內	Angela Wybourne musicalthreads	That's great , dancing is for you and how you feel 💕 I used to pick up my tetraplegic client at 5 am (wearing a pink wig??) after he'd spent a night on the town clubbing in his wheelchair. His energy was contagious and though his upper body and arm movement was very limited, (aided by an operation that restored just enough to operate his wheelchair) move he did! When youve lost so much, those steps in the direction of freedom are precious.
