I’ve been doing hair for 20 years. There is a healthy balance. I hope boundaries with clients while still providing great customer services. I was taught by the stylists of the 1960’s-1990’s. They didn’t play when it came to taking advantage. They told me never bring your scissors home, always charge full price etc. It was good advice. The only thing I dislike about the new school is the lack of customer service. By that I mean sometimes they don’t even introduce themselves to the client.
