as i’ve gotten older i’ve found it really difficult to find and communicate consistently with “mutuals” in the art world… spaces like deviantart or amino groups where people can meet and collaborate over a common interest don’t exist anymore in modern social media. the goal of posting art isn’t about making FRIENDS anymore, it’s about making SUBSCRIBERS, FOLLOWERS, WATCHERS… and that sucks.
