I’m 42 and freshly out of the closet. I am kind. I am empathetic and compassionate. I was taught that people are people and deserving of my acceptance. I have not always lived up to that ideal, but I have grown and continue to do so. I don’t care who anyone loves and I love most everyone. I care about books more than bombs. All I want in life is to leave the world a better place than it was when I entered. If that makes me an enemy, then let’s be frenemies of the state. I am the enemy within
