Myth #1: You need active dry yeast to make bread from scratch. Truth: Although you can make bread with active dry yeast, you don’t need it. All you need is flour, water and salt. You will also need to make a sourdough starter (which is made out of flour and water, as well as naturally occurring wild yeast). This wild yeast gives sourdough bread its distinctive taste and the ability to rise. 🥖(2/6)
