when I was 21 I went to South Korea to teach English at a summer camp in a rural area the students were in 5th and 7th grade and had never met a native English speaker before, which means they also had never met a Black person before. the kids adored me. "Lei Teacher! You are so beautiful. I love you!" It was the best 😭🇰🇷🫶🏾
