Basically, if you’re poor or an immigrant it’s pretty alright. If you work really hard and earn a higher income then you basically become a cash cow for the government to subsidize its ridiculous spending. The government here doesn’t want citizens to be self-sufficient, it takes more of a pimp role where it will give you housing and money but you have to do exactly what it says. And if you’re not on its payroll, so to speak, you’re a liability cos they can’t easily control you.

Living here is expensive, but I believe it's similar just about anywhere these days. It's not as bad as people make it out to be online. Usually, those who complain the most choose to live in the most expensive cities in Canada, then cry about it. Of course we have many issues too. I am not denying that.
