People are talking about Trump’s grievance filled appearance at the Al Smith dinner as a dangerous normalization of his extremism. Yes. Absolutely. But it also normalized abuse of women. Trump verbally abused Kamala Harris in front of lots of people dressed up all fancy, and it was blasted out to the world. He’s an abuser. And the organizers of the event handed him a platform for his abuse. That is institutionalized violence against women.
