Well, since you asked, I love the theory that this witches road is just an unconsious creation of Billy and Agatha knows it because she knows the road isn’t real. Maybe Nick is dead because she believed in the road and it let her down? Or maybe Nick is trapped as Mr. Scratchy and he only “spoke from the dead” because Billy thinks he’s dead and Agatha was punished because she knows that people think she killed her son.
