During the pandemic, I told my grandma I really wanted a guitar so I could write music/learn to play it. One day, she went to the goodwill in Detroit and found a first act guitar at and surprised me with it. That week, I learned how to play my first two chords and wrote/recorded a song on my voice memos with it. Around the same time, my friends and I recorded an EP and that voice memo was included on the project. This week I found out that we won an international award from that project😭
