I've been there. It's easy to want a whirlwind connection and a fairy tale, but they almost always end like this. I've learned that it takes a LONG time to really get to know someone. That exhilarating feeling is just me excited about the possibility that he's going to be everything I've ever dreamed of and more. But then I reality check myself and remind myself that I don't know him and to take my time. I protect my heart this way.
