As a lecturer, it's not that we're pissed off they're not 'doing the readings'. It's that a huge proportion are not doing anything. Not turning up to classes, not watching recorded videos, not doing any readings, not engaging with peers, not asking questions, not responding when being asked questions, can't write anything without AI feeding it to them. We understand that there are huge external pressures, but when they're this disengaged, it makes you wonder why they bother at all.
