Last night, I watched a family with a half cart of groceries pull out a calculator and tabulate the cost of everything. The mom went through about 2/3 her items and said… “That’s it kids, that’s our $100. Go put the rest of these back.” 😢 The teen daughter, walked over near me to put back a package of toilet paper. I quickly pulled out the emergency $100 bill I keep in the back of my phone, and handed it to her…

We mixed powdered milk with regular milk to make it go further, and so many times ate white bread w/white gravy for dinner and lunch up to 7 days at the end of month. We were on and off food stamps. I was blessed with a life where we live comfortably. You’ve inspired me. While we order groceries to be delivered, I’m gonna call the local high school and pay some lunch overdue accounts. ❤️
