I feel like there should be some give and take. They expect certain things as grandparents, and I HOPE for certain things within reason. I have multiple children, and my goal, if I get the blessing of being a grandparent, is to be available for my kids and grandkids. It takes a lot of support to have a family.

“Should”? Absolutely not. But they do and I am eternally grateful, I don’t know what I would have done without them

Never expected my parents to help. I fully expected them not to. But I was pleasantly surprised that they did, and still do.

SHOULD? No. This is my baby, not theirs. They raised all the ones that they decided to bring into this world. They have no obligation to assist me with my child in any way. That being said, they do watch him for free 4-5 days a week while I work the night shift. But that's their choice, and I've tried offering them a little money but they refused it. And I'm obviously grateful beyond words.
