So this might be kind of a hot take…but i think that modern astrology has completely misconstrued the meaning of the sixth house. Attributes of the 3rd house seem to have migrated over to the 6th…but the 6th is actually very much about how the individual interacts with the collective in order to solve problems in serve, rather than being about “daily life” which is really the domain of the 3rd house. Reading Alice Sparkly Kat’s article on the 6th house has been shaping this for me.

In traditional astrology the 3rd house is more about daily rituals, including divination, one’s mental, psychic, emotional environment and the “fishtank” we find ourselves in, amongst other things. Whereas the 6th is associated with illness, struggle, hard work and labour, as well as service, amongst other things. I haven’t read this particular article, but I’ve gleaned lots of interesting insights from Alice’s writings.
