Random but I offered this nice unhoused man some coffee today while I was out. He accepted & then started expressing to me things he’s been dealing w & how people treat him. I listened & shared ways in which I related so he could feel understood. He recognized I was kinda busy so after his last ramblings- he said “I’m going to let you go… but thank you for the coffee & thank for listening. No one ever listens to me. You made my day.” - & this is perhaps how we can sometimes make a difference.
