Hey - I would say between 30 and 70 depending on the type of session… The more people there are, the more photos I offer.

For collaborations (and assuming it’s not an event) then my standard offer is 5 photos of each look with a maximum of 25 photos from the whole shoot. Depending on the concept/mood boards I may offer more but I’m no longer willing to edit hundreds of photos just for them to be literally dumped into a single Instagram reel. For paid shoots the number of edits is different depending on the package they buy and I give them quotes for additional edits.

It’s not about the length of the session, charge per image.

I have been giving too many for a long time. Then managed to work on reducing the deliverables and also make it clearly part of the agreement. The client would have access to the entire gallery to be able to pick the favourite based on the number agreed with the option to purchase the entire gallery if they wish. I was at 200 for an hour portrait shoot (keeping in mind many pictures where similar) then reduced to 80 and more recently reduced to 40-60 but still feel I could reduce this amount.
