Ok I’m exhausted over the ADHD superpower division. If people feel it’s their superpower, that is great. If you don’t feel that way, also valid. It’s the pushing one way or another that’s the problem.

I just can’t stand comments of people that think their ADHD expierience is like every one’s else’s, no matter where on spectrum they are. And I envy a bit superpower people, as I’m more like „barely surviving” ;) tho many of them would just tell me to „reframe” triggering me XD

Everyone has the right to view it however it makes sense to them, although I will say that it’s important to establish that ADHD IS a disorder. Classifying it as a disorder keeps it in the DSM-5 and enables people to access therapy, medication, and treatment. The harm in minimizing ADHD is that it makes it harder for those with severe cases to be taken seriously and get the help they need. 🧡ADHDThreads

Can it be both? My rsd is a huge hurdle. I’ve also learned to channel my hyper focus. I applaud those who feel it’s a superpower - you’ve adapted well. I support those who struggle - our world currently isn’t constructed to help. I agree - why do we need to pick sides?
