I know edits and rewrites are important parts of the process, but I guess I trust my readers enough not to hold their hands with "development" and "motivation" for characters, and to understand what's going on when I accidentally refer to my MC by the name of a protagonist from one of my previous books for three pages in the middle, and not to ask questions when it's suddenly winter when in the previous chapter it was summer and only like two days passed.
