Soooo I remember seeing a post about someone saying they learned that when a person marries someone, they become their immediate family. How tf does that make sense? I wouldn't consider a significant other as immediate family only as my extended family..... 🙃

You can have different people become your power of attorney though. ETA- in some states if you co habit with someone for a certain amount of years they legally become your spouse even if there’s no actual marriage certificate
